Sophie and I were able to join some friends recently and go to the Korean Strawberry Festival. The festival itself was interesting but the best part of the day was picking our own strawberries. Sophie loved this part. Many of the strawberries didn't make it into our container without having a big bite out of them first. We may not be able to get our daughter to eat her veggies but fruit isn't a problem. At the festival we tried homemade strawberry jams, strawberries covered in chocolate and sprinkes, and strawberry milkshakes.
It's these little field trips with friends that help us enjoy our time here in Korea so much more. We had an exhausting day between picking strawberries, the strawberry festival, a Korean War Museum, and a little time at a park. We were so tired when we got home but we finished our evening sharing our "half-eaten" strawberries with daddy. Hopefully next year he'll be able to go strawberry picking with us.
